Ayak bilek ağrılarının sıkça görülen sebeplerinden olup kaval kemiği alt ucu (tibia) ve altındaki kemiğin (talus) yaptığı eklemde görülen kıkırdaların bozularak sağlıklı bir eklem yapısından ağrılı, şişen, kızaran bir ekleme dönüşmesi hadisesidir. Sıklıkla romatizmal hastalıklar, gut, sedef gibi hastalıklar veya bilekte OCD (osteokondritis dissecans) oluşması sonucu oluşabilir.

Diyabetik nöropati ve artropati sayılabilir. Tedavisi mutlaka uzman tarafından yapılmalı, genellikle cerrahi gerektirir. Çekilecek filmler, tomografi veya mr yardımyla derecesini saptandıktan sonra tedavi seçenekleri değerlendirilir.
